Emerging Technology Conference

This is soooo different a style of event to what I'm used to for several reasons:

• the ratio of suits to geeks is reversed, I'm in MIT and I feel out of place
• the content is mostly known to me (Emerged Technology Conference perhaps)
• the terms used at geek conferences over the last year are being used here - webtags !?
• there are hardly any laptops in use during sessions
• more ringing phones and laptop startups sounds than usual
• the wifi network is reliable AND fast - take note O'Reilly

Don't get me wrong, I have learned some valuable stuff here, not from what's been said on stage so much as what hasn't been said or the way it's been said.
