Inspired by Imran's extensive post : Transit Ghost I decided to calculate mine (I only have a few thousand RSS posts to wade through and that gets very tedious after all)
I.m not about to lay it out in the detail he has so I simply grabbed all the flights I'd put in to Outlook and created a map/route, seems that although Imran has been to more places I've travelled further due primarily to my frequent trips to Paris
It looks like this and means so far this year I've travelled 66338 Miles which came as a bit of a surprise, I guess all the 'little' trips to Paris really mount up when you end up doing 4 a month at times :)
That's all work travel, for holidays this year it appears I've done another 9379 miles as displayed here which brings up a grand total of : 75,71
I'd hate to think how hard it is to do over 100K miles a year but this will serve as a reminder to myself to try and travel less!
Update: I found the flight calculator for carbon but couldn't be bothered to enter them all again !!

US Hotels
You have to like US hotels, I just got in to the Hampton Inn in Boston and there are some nice touches that make life that bit better when you're a long way from the creature comforts of home, free broadband for a start, offered at the check in. A decent sized room with above all a really decent bed! It's like mine at home in that I can lay in any direction and not touch the edges ( I aint very tall of course) but the point is I paid good (and a lot of ) money for my bed at home and it's nice to get something similar...

and a new thing for me is the 'laptop desk' laid out on the bed, which I am using now, works really well and keeps the Hot Macbook off my lap with a decent amount of insulation !
