Ergo Mac

Finally got round to buying a Mighty Mouse and a Mac Keyboard, after some initial confusion (didn't expect to have to install any software for the mouse) It's working well. Also having never used either there has been a bit of a learning curve to figure out where and how all the keys work. However this is pretty much the same for me on all aspects of Mac.

Mow I'm not tipping my head forward to read and work so hopefully my neck will improve, however the external monitor I am using is 4:3 and that means all the window sizes are wrong compared with the 16:9 Macbook screen, I'll either have to live with it or buy a new widescreen monitor I think, it is nearly Xmas after all :)

Macbook CPU & Fans

Got a mail from Robert this morning with a handy app for controlling the fan speed of my Macbook, with a little playing I've found a good balance but then I noticed that there is a difference in the temps displayed by CoreDuoTemp which I've been running for a while and the new smcFanControl

Either way it's good to know what's going on and now even better to be able to do something about it !

Timbuk2 !

My adorable wife colluded with some of my mates and bought me a Timbuk2 Laptop Messenger bag which I'm really liking so far even if I haven't quite figured out all the pockets and where to put stuff but it's more comfortable and is a better home for my Macbook (which is about to get an upgrade to 2GB so I can run more apps, more I tell ya !!)
