Odeo and iTunes

A nice thing about Odeo now is the ability to use iTunes to get your subscription down to the PC rather than installing the Sync software, not that I had anything against it, it's just it didn't work on my PC, and either way the way you can manage stuff in iTunes is good enough for me.

First thing to do is create an account at Odeo and start subsribing to shows or if you like just queue some up to make sure you like them first, after a while you should have something like this

Now you need to get your RSS feed of your subscriptions into the paste buffer, under the Sync section look down the right hand side and you should see the Feeds & Subscriptions block

Right click on the RSS link and copy the link location, now you just need to go to iTunes and under the Advanced Menu choose "Subscribe to Podcast" and paste in your RSS feed from the step above (Evan say they are going to make this single click soon which is much better)

Once you have done all this go to Podcasts in iTunes and you will see the header for your Odeo subsriptions, click the little arrow to the left to expand it and see each show, you can then choose to get each show if not already down by hitting the "GET" button

All in all pretty damn sweet I have to say, if you want to take some with you simply drag a show out of here to a playlist that is synched up with your iPod
